Sharon Kirsch

    Sharon Kirsch, known to many as “Shari,” passed away peacefully on June 6, 2021, at her home in Saukville at the age of 76.  
    She was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 23, 1945, the daughter of Ralph Goetzke and Mildred Ramge Goetzke.  
    She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Rufus King High School with the Class of 1963.  
    On July 11, 1964, she married Norbert Kirsch in Milwaukee.
    In Shari’s younger years, she owned and operated Shari-Lynne’s Beauty Salon in Grafton.  
    She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 470 in Saukville and crocheted afghans for the veterans at Zablocki Veterans Center.
    In 1985, she joined the Saukville Fire Department as an EMT and rose through the ranks to EMT division chief.  Sharon retired from the fire department on Nov. 1, 2015, after 30 years.  
    She also served her community as a deputy coroner for Ozaukee County for two years.  
    Sharon is survived by her husband of 56 years, Norbert J. Kirsch, and her two sons, Scott (Amy) Kirsch and Corey Kirsch.  She is further survived by her four grandchildren, Shawna, Lauren, Brycen and Bryn Kirsch; her brothers-in-law Donald Kirsch and Melvin (Karen) Kirsch; and nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Mildred Goetzke, brother Dale Goetzke and sister-in-law Sandra Kirsch.
    Funeral services for Sharon will be celebrated on Sunday, June 13, at 3 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.  Pastor Mark Wagner will preside over the service.  
    She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Saukville.  
    A visitation will be held at the funeral home on June 13 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.  A walk-thru for the American Legion Auxiliary and Saukville Fire Department will take place at 2:30 p.m.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Sharon to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1332 Arrowhead Rd., Grafton, WI 53024.
