Service station sold to bank at sheriff’s auction
A prominently located service station in Saukville was sold Monday in a sheriff’s auction at the Ozaukee County courthouse.
The former Mid-City Quick Mart station was sold for $760,000 to First Bank Financial Centre, the plaintiff in a foreclosure proceeding against the former owners and operators of the property at 820 E. Green Bay Ave., near the Walmart store.
There were no other bids for the property.
First Bank Financial will gain possession of the property in about a month, once a judge approves the sale, and then it will go on the real estate market, a bank representative present at the sale said.
Defendants named in the foreclosure included D & D Real Estate Investments LLC, Mid-City Quick Mart Inc., Alioto Real Estate Investments LLC, Dominic Alioto Jr. and Shelly M. Alioto.
Dominic and Shelly Alioto are listed in court records as living in Fredonia.
A default judgment was entered on the property in July, foreclosing on the $1.09 million mortgage.
Mid-City Quick Mart had operated as a Mobil and Citgo gas station and mini-mart.
In July, another property owned by the defendants in Menomonee Falls was sold at auction for $689,000.
