Senior center offers trips, counseling

The Grafton Senior Center is offering a trip to visit many of the famous places in Milwaukee from the “Laverne and Shirley” TV show on Tuesday, May 23.

Stops include Milwaukee’s City Hall, which was the opening shot of the show; the Polish Flats and the Brewery that made Milwaukee famous, “Shotz;” a tour of the Lakefront Brewery with samples and a souvenir, lunch at a Milwaukee favorite pizza restaurant, a game of mini-bowling, the Bronze Fonz statue and frozen custard at Leon’s Drive-In.

The trip is $142 and includes an escort, deluxe motor coach, lunch, all fees and gratuities.

ν The senior center is offering a trip to the Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson for “Legends in Concert – Direct from London” on Thursday, June 22.

The show will feature tributes to Freddie Mercury, Adele, Rod Stewart, Elton John and Dusty Springfield.

The $117 trip includes deluxe motor coach transportation, a meal and tickets to the show.

ν Mental health family facilitator Michael Weber will lead a free monthly grief support group session at the Grafton Senior Center on the third Tuesday of the month from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. The first session is Tuesday, May 16.

Weber has a clinical psychology and biology background. He will provide written materials each month.
