The Grafton School District recently accepted two donations totaling $110,000 to support improvements to its athletic facilities.

During the School Board meeting on Monday, March 22, members accepted $60,000 from the Rotary Club of Cedarburg-Grafton and $50,000 from the Grafton High School Booster Club, both contributions to the Enhancing Our Future campaign.

The campaign was established in 2018 because the district’s $39.9 million school buildings referendum approved by voters in 2017 didn’t include athletic facilities.

The board subsequently agreed to contribute $1.75 million to help upgrade athletic facilities, which is expected to cost $4.97 million. Another $3.19 million is being raised to complete the athletic complex development project.

So far, the district has raised approximately $1.3 million.
