School District’s Hall of Fame class announced

The slate of people to be inducted into the Cedar Grove-Belgium Hall of Fame have been announced. They are:

• Tim Hatfield, longtime successful football coach.

• Josh Mulloy, Class of 2009, cross country and track state champion.

• Nate Pomeday, Class of 1995, basketball scoring record holder.

• ν Lloyd TerMaat, Class of 1961, longtime commitment to helping the poor.

• Eric Teunissen, Class of 1998, multiple track state champion.

• The 1977 girls’ track team of coach Rick Miesfield, Sally (Smies) Obbink, Jennifer Thompson, Gail Otte, Laurel (O’Connell) Bear, Gail (Prinsen) Huibregtse, Lynn Ardisana, Ann Lemmenes, Wendy (Kappus) Pierron, Julie Kappus) Prom, Peggy Baumgartner, Brenda (Jentink) Ede and Sandray (Kaland) Sandee, state runner-up.

The class will be honored during halftime of the Sept. 20 football game and at a banquet and recognition ceremony on Sept. 21.
