School Board approves summer school program

The Cedar Grove-Belgium School Board last week approved the class offerings for both summer school sessions.

Swim lessons will again be held in the rebuilt pool, Elementary and Summer School Principal Jeff Kondrakiewicz said.

Session 1 is from 7:55 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from June 11 to July 1. Session 2 is at the same times and days from Aug. 4 to 11.

Skill-building classes include reading, writing and math.

Enrichment classes include sports and physical activities, Spanish, chess, Harry Potter, Legos, movies, art and snacks.

All classes will be held at the elementary school and are free for district residents. Nonresidents pay $25 per course.

Registration is open via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal through May 9.
