Saukville tree lighting
Santa comes to town to help light Saukville’s trees
The weather was anything but frightful Sunday when Saukville rang in the holiday season on a mild evening with a tree lighting ceremony in Veterans Park. A family gathered under one of the lighted trees sang as Caity Martinez, the music teacher at Saukville Elementary School, led the crowd gathered in the park in some Christmas favorites. Then right on cue, Santa arrived in a village fire truck to greet children and hand out treats, although before he could give one girl a candy cane she gave him a letter, perhaps with a gift suggestion or two. River of Life Church organized the event.
