Saukville Saints fall to 0-3 on the season

The Saukville Saints lost two games last weekend to fall to 0-3 on the season.

On Saturday, the Hartford Hawks won, 10-1, at Saukville.

The Saints had 10 hits, led by Brian Hirschinger’s three.

Joe Seegers hit a three-run homer in a five-run fourth inning.

Sam Matthies took the loss for the Saints.

On Sunday, the Saints lost, 9-6, to the Rubicon Red Sox on the road.

The Saints scored five runs in the sixth inning on singles by Mike Sherrick, Tom Dickmann, Mike Mueller, Max and Mike Pruefer, along with a walk to Casey Johnson and sacrifice fly by Ian Tucker.

The game featured two rain delays. After the second, the Red Sox scored two runs to take the lead for good.

Mueller had three hits, and Pruefer and Tucker each had two.

The Saints next play at Kewaskum at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
