Runners, soccer teams move on

On Tuesday night, the No. 2-seeded Port Washington High School soccer team beat No. 7-seeded Sheboygan Falls, 5-0, at home, and No. 3-seeded Grafton beat No. 6-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran, 5-0, at home. Port hosts

Grafton on Saturday in the Division 2 regional final.

In cross country, the Ozaukee girls won the Division 3 Palmyra Eagle Sub-Sectional and the boys were one point from moving on. Calvin McKee and Matt Baldwin qualified as individual runners for the Prairie School Sectional on Saturday.

Cedar Grove-Belgium’s Faith Konzak and Mason Hoopman advanced from the Division 2 Kiel Sub-Sectional and will run in the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Sectional on Friday.

Port Washington’s Mason Raasch and Braeya Thomas advanced in the Green Bay Notre Dame Division 1 Sub-Sectional and will run in the Hortonville Sectional on Friday.

Grafton’s Nathan Baker made it out of the West Bend West Division 1 Sub-Sectional at Tendick Park and will run in the Slinger Sectional on Saturday.

Cedar Grove-Belgium’s No. 6-seeded volleyball team got swept at No. 3-seeded Oostburg, 25-12, 25-11, 25-18, to end the season.

The No. 5-seeded Ozaukee volleyball team forfeited its match at No. 4-seeded Dodgeland in the Division 3 tournament Tuesday because too many players were missing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
