Rudolph J. Stadler

Rudolph J. Stadler of the Town of Saukville died on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Kathy Hospice at the age of 92 years.
He was born Feb. 4, 1933, on the family homestead in the Town of Saukville to the late John and Philomena (nee Islitzer) Stadler.
He enlisted into the U.S. Army, being stationed in Greenland for most of his enlistment. He served with the 1st Engineering Arctic Task Force.
On Aug. 22, 1953, he was united in marriage to Marcella Kertscher at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Following their marriage, Marcella and Rudy settled on the family farm. Together, they raised their family and worked the farm.
Rudy also worked for Laubenstein Sales and Service for more than 35 years.
He was a member of the Fredonia Snowmobile Club and Newburg Fire Department and enjoyed deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife of over 71 years, Marcella; four children, Pamella (Jim) Schwinn, Ronald (Annie), Randy (Lori) and Russell (Corey); 12 grandchildren, Laura (Guiseppe) Schwinn-Cossu, Sarah (Scott) Pionek and Kim (Josh) Palleon, Lynn (Andy) Marshall, Scott (Brynn), Mike, Rachel, Kendall, Brandon, Ben, Brady and Syndie Stadler; three stepgrandchildren, Megan (Joe) Fleischmann, Ashlee (Aaron) Krizek and Taylor (Adam) Bocek; 12 great-grandchildren, Magdalena and Norax Cossu, Hudson, Elyse and Nolan Pionek, Ella, Ava and Mya Palleon, Maxwell and Kaya Marshall and Tanner and Libby Stadler; six step-great-grandchildren, Aubree and Noah Fleischmann, Lucas, Kaden and Bryce Krizek and Madison Bocek; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly, and seven brothers and sisters, Elsie (Sigfried) Primas, Theresa, Ann (Wilmer) Kertscher, Herman, Violet, Charlie and Adolph.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 14, from 3 until 4:45 p.m. at Schmidt Funeral Home, with memorial services to follow at 5 p.m.
