Rose Marie Klein

Rose Marie Klein, 90, of Fish Creek, Wis., passed away from congestive heart failure on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025.

Rosie was born on Oct. 16, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late William and Irene (Piekarski) Krause. 

She lived in Milwaukee, where she married William (Bill) Klein in 1955. In 1966, Rosie and her family moved to Grafton, Wis., where they resided for 30 years before retiring to Door County in 1996.

While in Grafton, Rosie dedicated nearly 30 years to the Grafton School District, with 22 of those years spent in food service. She also volunteered for 18 years cooking chili for the Grafton Music Department’s annual Chili Day, where her contributions were cherished by many.

She was a member of Ephraim Moravian Church. Rosie was a member of the Ephraim Yacht Club, and for more than 40 years, she and her family proudly hosted the Ephraim Yacht Club Bratfest, creating lasting memories for all.  Rosie also served as a volunteer at Bargain’s Unlimited for more than 20 years.

Rosie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons Robert and John; daughter-in-law Suzette; grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Amanda and Bailey; and great-grandchildren Elliot, Nora and Owen; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years, and her son Donald.

A memorial celebration of Rosie’s life will be held on July 19, 2025, at Alexander’s of Door County, 3667 Hwy. 42, Fish Creek, Wis., at 11 a.m.

Rosie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
