Ronald A. Huiras

Ronald A. Huiras entered eternal life on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025. He was 92 years old.

Ron was born in Random Lake, Wis., on Oct. 16, 1933, to parents Wilmer and Loretta (nee Depies) Huiras. 

He graduated from Random Lake High School in 1951 and went to St. Norbert’s College for two years. 

Ron joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea from 1953 to 1955. 

He was united in marriage with Audrey Katheiser on Sept. 1, 1956, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington. 

Ron decided to further his education and graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1958. 

Following graduation, he started his career at Fleet Mortgage Banker, the largest mortgage banker in the country. He started as chief accountant, and after many promotions he became president. With 45 years of experience, Ron purchased his own company called Universal Mortgage Banker in May 1993. He retired in 2010. 

Ron loved golfing and was very proud of his two holes-in-one. He and Audrey enjoyed spending time at their summer home at Silver Lake.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Audrey, his sisters Vera Loeser and Ruth (Dr. John) Koehn, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brother Norb Huiras and brother-in-law Bob Loeser. 

Per Ron’s wishes, private services will be held. 

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is assisting the the family with arrangements.
