Ronald “Ron” Alvin Buechler

Ronald “Ron” Alvin Buechler, 81, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with his family by his side.

Ron was born on Aug. 26, 1944, in Port Washington to the late Arthur and Virginia Buechler (nee Anzia).

He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1962. Ron proudly served his country in the Navy from 1962 through 1966 during the Vietnam War while stationed in Japan.

He was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Walber at Holy Cross Catholic Church in the Town of Belgium on Dec. 2, 1967.

Ron was a master electrician at Uihlein Electric for 35 years.

He enjoyed playing softball, and his team always won the beer drinking trophy. Ron coached his sons in Little League hardball in Newburg.

He was a proud member of Ozaukee Fish and Game and served on the board for many years where he loved to trap shoot. He also enjoyed shooting 3D archery, deer hunting “stomps in the woods” and pheasant hunting with his beloved dog CJ by his side. Ron enjoyed spending time at the trailer up north.

He was a cherished husband, proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

He participated in the Honor Flight on Sept. 28, 2019.

Ron was a man of few words but typically they were stern, heartfelt and filled with conviction. His work ethic was not matched by many, and just when you thought the job was done there was always a finishing touch to complete the job.

Those left to cherish Ron’s memory include his wife Patricia; children Jodi Maruca, Robin (Jim) Culver, Arthur (Tricia) Buechler and Ronald (Laura) Buechler; grandchildren Heather Maruca, Alex (Tabitha) Maruca, Megan Maruca, Ava Culver, Natalie Culver, Calla Buechler, Brooke Buechler and Siera Buechler; great-granddaughters Madison Clark and Nina Maruca; sisters Shirley Fechter, Beverly Beyer and Bonnie (Wayne) Gierach; other relatives; nieces; nephews; and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a sister Judy (Dick) Schoenfeldt, brothers-in-law Donald Fechter and Dick Beyer and longtime friend and brother-in-arms Gary Palmer.

Ron’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1 until 3:15 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 521 Congress Dr., West Bend, WI 53090.

A Memorial Mass will take place following visitation at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, with Father Tom DeVries and Deacon Mike Koebel officiating the Mass.

A private burial will take place later.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight and Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tamarack Adult Day Services, Cornerstone Assisted Living and Preceptor Hospice.

Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Ron’s arrangements.
