PAID OBITUARY
Robert G. Wood, age 70, passed away at Aurora Hospital in Grafton on Friday, March 22, 2019.
Robert was born in South Dakota on June 30, 1948, to Howard and Dorothy (nee Dolph) Wood.
Robert was a 1967 graduate of Random Lake High School and went on to earn a culinary degree from Moraine Park Technical College in 2005.
Over the years, he was employed at Tecumseh Products, Terrace Estates and Krier Soda Co.
Robert was an avid fisherman. He also loved to hunt and watch the Brewers in his spare time. Above all, spending time with his family meant the most to Robert.
Robert is survived by his wife Joyce; daughters Melissa Wilson and Rhonda (Sean) Wood; grandsons Darian (Casey) Wilson and Marcel (Makayzia) Wilson; great-grandson Amari Wilson; stepdaughter Ann (Nic) Miller, stepgranddaughter Stephanie Misun; siblings Loni (Raymond) Cato, James (Janet) Wood, Ernie (Joyce) Wood and Blanche (Steve) Blaedow; siblings-in-law Joan (Roger) Maas, Theresa (David) Thomas, Annette (Joseph) Thomas, Elroy Feider and Gary Leon; and special niece Lisa Powell. Robert is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dianne Bates, Harry Wood and Susan Wood, stepsister Roseanne McCoy and beloved canine companion Bear.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave., Fredonia, at 1 p.m. Pastors Marshal Frisque and Gary Paul will co-officiate.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
