Riveredge to host a day for dogs Oct. 29

Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville will host a day for dogs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

While the Riveredge trails are normally closed to pets to protect the sensitive ecosystems, this annual one-day celebration that lets dogs enjoy the natural surroundings.

Dogs must be leashed at all times, and their owners must pick up their waste.

Those attending are asked to stop outside the Visitor Center to register. There is a $5 fee for dogs, and a fee of $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 4 to 13 for nonmembers. Children younger than 3 and Riveredge members will be admitted for free.

A map will be available showing the best trails to take with dogs.
