Stepping On, a seven-week course aimed at helping people prevent falls, will be held beginning July 8 at the Port Washington Senior Center.
The seven-week program offered by the Ozaukee County Aging and Disability Resource Center will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 19.
The evidenced-based intervention program, which is proven to decrease falls, includes lessons on improving balance and strength, home modifications, community safety, vision, medication review, safe footwear and sleep.
The class will include talks by physical therapists, a pharmacist and others.
The workshop is aimed at people 60 and older who have fallen or are afraid of falling.
A $20 donation is suggested to cover the cost of materials.
The Senior Center is at 403 W. Foster St.
