Randall E. ‘Randy’ Ingelse

Randall E. “Randy” Ingelse of Belgium passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital at the age of 74.

He was born the son of Lawrence and Eleanor (nee Voskuil) Ingelse on May 28, 1948, in Sheboygan.

Randy was a 1967 graduate of Oostburg High School and a U.S. Army veteran.

He married Donna Lanser at St. Mary’s Church in Lake Church on Nov. 28, 1970.

Randy was a 51-year member of the Belgium Fire Department, serving as chief from 1988 to 2001 and as president of the Ozaukee County Fire Chiefs Association from 1996 to 1998.

Randy, along with his wife, owned Lanser Garage and Towing. He operated a heavy-duty tow truck until July of this year. He also served as the vice-chairman of the Wisconsin Towing Association from 1997 to 1999.

Randy was most proud of his family and his towing business. He was an avid Allis-Chalmers tractor collector and restorer. He was also a skilled resource person for anyone in the family.

Randy will remain in the hearts of his wife Donna; their four children, Micca (Skip) Schueller of Belgium, Jamon (Julie) Ingelse, also of Belgium, Brady (Tiffany) Ingelse of Sheboygan and Monique (Scott) White-Winkel of Belgium; 14 grandchildren, Blake (Tess) Schueller, Mackenna Schueller, Brynn Schueller, Cade Ingelse, Saige Ingelse, Asia Ingelse, Hannah Lindow, Harper Ingelse, Huxley Ingelse, Porter White, Sailor White, Bristol Winkel, Collyn Winkel and Caitlyn Goetsch; great-grandson Lincoln Schueller; and his siblings Bonnie (Les) Hilbelink of Oostburg, Barbara Ingelse of Rock Hill, S.C., Dr. Beverly Ingelse of Philadelphia, Pa., Lu (Dr. Richard) Belcher of Tega Cay, S.C., Kay (Dr. Robert) Currie of Elgin, Ill., Robert (Kathy) Ingelse of Oostburg and Roy (Patricia) Ingelse of Oostburg.

Randy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad the Rev. Ted Engstram and parents-in-law George and  Grace Lanser.

A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium. Pastor Dave Veldhorst will preside.

Randy will be laid to rest the next day at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery in Lake Church with military honors.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, Dec. 18, at the funeral home from 12:30 until services begin at 4:30 p.m. A fire department walk-through is planned for 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated and will be used for Kathy’s House (hospital guest house) in Milwaukee and the Belgium Rescue Squad.
