Ralph L. Schmidt

Ralph L. Schmidt passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at the age of 76.

He was born in Port Washington, Wis., on Feb. 13, 1949, to parents Lawrence and Priscilla (nee Rausch) Schmidt.

Ralph attended Port Washington High School and graduated with the Class of 1967.

Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served courageously in Vietnam for 18 months.

Ralph is survived by his brothers Gerald (Elaine) Schmidt, Kenneth Schmidt and Christopher (Marla) Schmidt. He is further survived by sister-in-law Karen Schmidt and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard “Dick” and sister-in-law Susan.

Per Ralph’s wishes, there will be a private family service held at a later date.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
