PW Christmas on the Corner
Port Washington’s annual Christmas on the Corner holiday celebration Saturday brought a throng of people to downtown for the festivities. Mayor Ted Neitzke cheered as William Jarr, a fourth-grader from St. John XXIII Catholic School who won the city’s coloring contest, lit the city’s Christmas tree. A group of singers from Port Washington High School entertained the crowd. Horse-drawn carriage rides were a popular attraction. Santa’s helpers handed out candy during the parade before Santa and his elf made an appearance. Photos by Sam Arendt
