Putting their own artistic touch on nature

Three artists who are participating in the ArtServancy program showed off works inspired by what they found in area nature preserves over the past year during an opening reception at Gallery 224 in downtown Port Washington Friday. They include (clockwise from top)  Sheree Wood, whose works were inspired by Afterglow Farm in the Town of Port Washington, Matthew Groshek, who worked at Decorah Woods in the City of West Bend, and Paula DeStefanis, who spent time at Shannon Preserve in the Town of Saukville. The exhibit runs through Aug. 30. Gallery 224 is at 303 N. Franklin St. It is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.  Photos by Sam Arendt
