Port Washington’s Hippity Hoppity Easter egg hunt and bonnet contest will be held in Upper Lake Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8.

The event was scheduled to take place last Saturday but it was postponed because of the weather forecast for April 1.

The event will begin with a sing-along and follow with the egg hunt for children ages 2 to 12 at 10:15 a.m.

There will also be photos with the Easter Bunny, a golden egg hunt, live music by Shana Harvey and a story walk sponsored by the Niederkorn Library.

The bonnet contest is set for 10:45 a.m. and features four age categories — birth to 3, 4 to 10, 11 to 18 and adults —  as well as a pet division.

Following the event, youngsters may visit downtown businesses from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to collect holiday treats.

The event is sponsored by the Port Washington Kiwanis Club, Port Washington  Parks and Recreation Department, Port Main Street  Inc. and Kohler Credit Union.
