Port library to host events for adults

Activities for adults scheduled for June at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington include yoga, book clubs and a blood drive.

A career planning workshop will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4.

Emily Smith, a human resources consultant with Ansay & Associates, will provide one-on-one assistance with career planning needs, including resume reviewing, interview preparation, job searches and applications.

A D&D group for game enthusiasts looking to play D&D or RPG will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays.

Players of all experience levels are welcome.

A grief support group will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. June 5, in the community room.

Colson Leach, bereavement coordinator with Compassus Hospice, is the facilitator.

The Friday Morning Book Talk group sponsored by the Port Senior Center will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, in the community room.

Adults of all ages are invited. Copies of the featured book are available for check out.

The Novel Ideas Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 17.

The group is for fiction fanatics and meets in the quiet room.

The BYOBook Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Inventors BrewPub.

Those attending are asked to share the book they are reading, no matter the genre.

Yoga With the YMCA will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, and Friday, June 7.

A Medicare workshop will be held from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. Monday, June 3.

Ashley Mutsch, an elder benefit specialist with the Ozaukee County Aging and Disability Resource Center will host the program.

“Underappreciated Pollinators,” a webinar by Melinda Myer, will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5.

The program is being run in partnership with the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory.

Those attending will create a pollinator-related craft to take home with them.

A queer craft night will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, to help celebrate Pride Month.

Those attending may make pronoun friendship bracelets, paint rocks and express themselves with magazine collages.

The event is open to people of all ages.

Snacks and beverages will be served.

A talk with Louise Endres Moore, a Cedarburg resident who spent five years researching her father’s history and writing the award-winning biography “Alfred: The Quiet History of World War II,” will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the community room.

A Versiti blood drive will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, June 21.
