Port junior center among best on the ice

Port Washington High School junior Carson Thomas earned honorable mention recognition by the Fox River Classic Conference. Thomas has scored 13 goals and seven assists in 20 games so far this season, including five short-handed goals. “Carson is a dynamic player with a great all-around skill set. His skating ability is absolutely fun to watch and very unique. He can change his tempo to fool defenders, and he makes it look easy,” coach Avery Huibregtse said. “Carson’s vision on the ice is excellent. His high hockey IQ helps him be patient with the puck to set up great scoring chances. Carson is that spark that gets our team going in games.”
