Port High students get to show off for school’s manufacturing partners

Port Washington High School students Austin Sommer and Kyle Hoyem made a metal casting (above) during a tour of the technology-education department for representatives of the manufacturing firms that have partnered with the school to help ensure students are properly prepared for jobs in the skilled trades. Heidi Hellensen of KMC Stampings in Port Washington (inset) held a pendant that was cast by students and given to tour guests.
