Port Garden Club sale set for May 23

The Port Washington Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 23, at 829 W. Grand Ave., in Port Washington.

The sale includes a wide selection of plants and garden accessories, including perennials, annuals, vegetable and gently used décor and gardening books.

Proceeds support the Garden Club’s activities, including community plantings, annual donations of gardening books to the W.J. Niederkorn Library and two scholarships awarded each year to students pursuing horticultural studies.

Founded in 1932, the Port Washington Garden Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the love of gardening, horticultural education and civic beautification.
