Port’s shipwrecks are topic for June 3 talk
“Ghosts of the Ozaukee Coast: Port Washington’s Shipwreck Graveyard” will be the topic for Brendon Baillod during a Saturday, June 3, presentation at the Port Washington State Bank Community Center.
The 6 p.m. talk is the second in the Port Historical Society’s speaker series.
Baillod, who continues to look for lost ships on the Great Lakes, will discuss his most recent searches.
He is an award-winning maritime historian based in Madison and is the president of the Wisconsin Underwater Archeology Association.
He is an avid collector who will display maps, photos and maritime objects from his personal collection. He continues to look for lost ships on the Great Lakes and will talk about his most recent searches.
The presentation is free for Society members and $5 for nonmembers.
