Police call to Saukville residence leads to heroin bust

Saukville police were called to a residence in the 600 block of Fox Run Drive on Aug. 27 for the report of a family member who had just used heroin and driven to the home.

At the residence, police talked with a 27 year-old Saukville woman who said she went to Milwaukee earlier where she purchased crack and heroin. She used the crack about six hours before in Milwaukee and had just injected heroin in Port Washington prior to driving to Saukville.

The woman agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests, ultimately failing them. She told police she had a drug kit inside a brown paper bag in the backseat of her vehicle.

Inside it was a syringe with an unknown liquid in it believed to be heroin, two more used syringes, a metal cooker, a tourniquet and other drug paraphernalia.

The woman was transported to St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital for a blood draw and then to the Ozaukee County Jail.

Charges for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia were requested.

In another incident, Saukville police were traveling east on East Green Bay Avenue at Northwoods Road just after 5 p.m. Sept. 5 when they ran the registration of a vehicle traveling in front of them and discovered that the listed owner had no listed driver’s license.  

The driver, who was not the listed owner,  was identified as a 27-year-old Milwaukee man who also stated he does not have a driver’s license.

During the traffic stop, the listed owner, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman, came walking up. The woman had just been released from the Ozaukee County Jail and the man was on his way to pick her up.

The man was also found to be on probation with a no-contact order in place with the woman. The man was arrested for operating without a valid license-2nd offense and for a probation hold.
