PHOTO OP-ED: The south beach crowd

Saturday felt a lot like summer, and that’s all it took to populate Port Washington’s south beach with what looked like a standing-room-only crowd. Lake water temperature barely above 50 degrees did not deter young splashers. Beachgoers’ vehicles spilled over from the packed parking lot to a grassy area and then to city streets several blocks away.
