Pedro Bustamante

Pedro Bustamante, 77, of Fredonia died Tuesday, May 8.  

Mr. Bustamante was born in Zapata, Texas, on Nov. 4, 1940, to Pedro Sr. and Irma Ramirez Bustamante.  

He enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he trained as an artilleryman at Fort Sheridan, Ill.  After the service, he moved to Wisconsin and married Christine Metzger. The couple moved to Fredonia in 1983.

Mr. Bustamante worked as a service technician primarily at the Coca-Cola plant in Brown Deer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars, and spending time at his property in Winter, according to his family.

Mr. Bustamante is survived by his children Antonio (Sarah) of Texas, Brandon (Michelle), Laura (Mark) Pantle and Jordan (Kristen), all of Fredonia, Lora (Pat) Hanley of Brookfield, Mark (Stephanie Knop) of West Bend and David of Milwaukee.

He is further survived by grandchildren Ethan, Maya, Antonio Jr., Tallon, Colton, Brianna, Boston, Trinity, Hannah, Mitchell, Mason, Sienna, Becca, Cheyenne, Ashley, Ryan, Tyler, Sadie and Quintin; brother Miguel (Angelica); sisters Maria Hilda (Charlie) Love, San Juana Irma (Michael) Starr, and Veronica (Arturo) Perez; and step-brother Jonathan (Virginia) Dillard, all of Texas.  

Mr. Bustamante was preceded in death by his wife Christine, his parents, and brothers Manuel Javier and Lauro Alberto.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg with the Rev. Linda Westphal-Buth presiding.  

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3 p.m. until the service.
