Pearl M. Sanders

Pearl M. Sanders of Port Washington passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at the age of 83.   

Pearl was born in St. Francis, Wis., on June 17, 1942, the beloved daughter of Joseph and Lorraine (Wehr) Roth.  

On Oct. 7, 1961, she married her true love, Fredrick Sanders, in Cudahy, and together they raised four boys.

Pearl and her husband liked to travel, especially to Hawaii. In the late 1980s, the couple ran the Red Rooster Tavern in Stevens Point, Wis.  

Pearl enjoyed casino trips, bingo, playing cards with her family and friends, puzzles and a turtle sundae from Culver’s. She also treasured the companionship of her small dogs.  

Pearl’s memory will be cherished by her three sons, Fred (Nadine) Sanders, Rich (Sandy) Sanders and Jim (Pam) Sanders; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother Earl (Donna) Roth; and sister-in-law Ilse Roth. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, son Keith Sanders and siblings Joann (Pat) Lanaghan, Joseph Roth, Nancy (Ken) Wartman and Harold Roth.

A memorial service will be held for Pearl at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, WI 53012. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

Pearl will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery next to her husband and son.
