Paul Fischer

PAID OBITUARY

Paul A. Fischer of Saukville passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.  He was 73 years old.

Paul was born in Stuttgart, Germany, the son of Paul Fischer and Gertrud Hildegard Ehrmann Fischer.

His family immigrated to Glendale, Wis., when he was 8 years old.

Paul was working at the Bavarian Inn when he met the love of his life, Judy. Two kids later, they packed up and headed north to settle into a wooded property outside the Village of Saukville.

When Paul wasn’t working, he enjoyed the outdoors, from planting to chain-sawing. If the weather was nice, he could always be found puttering in the yard with the Brewers game playing on the radio in the background.

From working at Federl Distributing to General Beverage, Paul’s passion was in the beverage industry. He made sure Ozaukee County stayed hydrated and was only drinking the finest of spirits.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy of Saukville; and two sons, Paul (Danielle) Fischer of Hales Corners and Nick (Amy) Fischer of Brown Deer.

He is further survived by his sister Margot (Don Dean) Fischer and their children Dr. Drew (Amber) Dean and Willie Dean.

For those of you who knew Paul, a traditional funeral service wouldn’t do him justice. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in the future at one of his favorite watering holes, big enough to accommodate everyone whose life he touched.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the family.
