Patrick Goergen

On Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, Patrick Michael Goergen, loving son, devoted brother and caring uncle, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones in Peoria, Ariz., at the age of 52.

Patrick was born on Feb. 10, 1970, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Ronald and Joyce Goergen.

Patrick was known for his infectious smile and a kind and compassionate spirit. Through his actions he taught us how to love without words, without reason and without limits.

Patrick’s enthusiasm for the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Iowa Hawkeyes was both contagious and unyielding.

He had a passion for spreading humor, listening to ’80s music, watching his favorite movies, dancing at parties and sharing life’s most precious moments with friends and family.

As a highly medaled Special Olympian, a graduate of Homestead High School and a faithful work colleague, Patrick will be remembered for his joyful innocence and having a sensitivity to others’ pain. His generous contributions and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will never be forgotten.

Patrick is survived by his loving parents Ronald and Joyce; his adoring siblings Chris, Ryan, Sean (Dana), Terry (Leslie) and Erin (Kate), seven affectionate nieces and nephews; 12 caring aunts and uncles; and 29 cousins.

A celebration of life for close family members and friends will be held on Aug. 26, 2022, at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel in Sun City West, Ariz., from 5 to 7 p.m. (www.caminodelsol.com).
