Patricia R. Krug

Patricia R. Krug, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth.
Patricia was born in Port Washington on June 28, 1942, the daughter of the late Elmer and Clara Wellenstein.
She attended local schools, graduating from Port Washington High School.
Patricia was united in marriage with Richard Krug on Nov. 14, 1970. They then resided in Port Washington for more than 50 years, where they raised their six children. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2018.
Over the years, Patricia worked as a waitress at local restaurants, including the Dixie Inn and Pasta Shoppe. She also managed the Quik Stop Shoppe gas station and worked for Studio 231 as a receptionist.
Patricia loved shopping and rummaging. When she was shopping, she was always thinking of her family and others. She would always find the most unique gifts that she knew her family would love. Her generosity and kindness will never be forgotten.
Patricia had a passion for flowers and her flower gardens. Her favorite holidays were Halloween, Christmas and Easter. She looked forward to decorating her yard for the holidays as much as she could every year for everyone to enjoy.
Patricia had a love for animals, especially her two cats, Bella and Casey, and her beloved dog Charlie. She fed every stray cat in the neighborhood, ensuring their survival during winters.
Patricia is survived by her children Charlene Binsfeld of Cascade, Michele (Harold) Haas of Cascade, John (Vicki) Binsfeld of Ripon, Chad Binsfeld of Cascade and Cindy (Brent) Groothousen of West Bend. She is further survived by her nine grandchildren, Kayla Roberts, Kelsey Bingham, Melissa Karrels, Shawn Binsfeld, Shauna Binsfeld, Cory Groothousen, Olivia Binsfeld, Connor Groothousen and Caden Groothousen; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three brothers, Danny Wellenstein, Mike Wellenstein and Peter Wellenstein.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Krug, daughter Jody George, grandchildren Carla Binsfeld Capetillo and Joshua Haas, parents Elmer and Clara Wellenstein and siblings Robert Wellenstein, MaryAnn Sandee and infant brother William Wellenstein.
Cremation has taken place and a life celebration will be held at a later date.
