Patricia Godersky

Patricia Lucille “Pat” Godersky, age 83, of Fond du Lac, Wis., formerly of Port Washington, Wis., joined her husband and eternal Father on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Pat was born on April 2, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Alois Peter Kerber and Eileen Carolyn Knoop. (Eileen’s second husband and father to Pat was Lloyd Schmidt.)

On Feb. 27, 1954, Patricia married John George Godersky of Port Washington.  They raised their family on Chestnut Street in Port Washington.

With her big family, Pat became a great cook and baker while also working outside the home as a certified nursing assistant for Heritage Nursing Home and the former St. Alphonsus Hospital, providing love and gentle care to all her patients as if they were family members.

Pat enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, painting, sewing and other crafts, always having to keep her hands busy. Pat enjoyed family picnics and traveling to Canada for vacations. She is also remembered for deer hunting with her husband and sons. In later years, Pat did journaling, working on the family tree and keeping in contact with friends and family.

She loved everybody, putting other’s needs before her own. Beautiful music occupied many of her hours.

Pat enjoyed everything related to being the best wife and hard-working mother to her seven children and four nieces who lived with the family for a time.

Pat is survived by her children David Godersky of the Town of Grafton, Mary (the late Alfredo) Santana Bueno of Manitowoc, Theresa (the late Earl) Schneider of Port Washington, Susan (Larry) Neidorfler of Glendale, Lynn (the late Darryl) Jacoway of Kent, Wash., and Steve Godersky and Robert (Tammy) Godersky, both of Manitowoc; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Neustaedter of Waukesha, and Dana Roszak (Schmidt) of Cedarburg; her brother Robert (Marcia) Kerber of Newburg; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 26, 2013, infant children John Gregory and Anne Marie and an infant son not named.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon, Saturday, March 7, 2020, at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 451 N. Johnson St., Port Washington, Wis.  Father Patrick Wendt will be the celebrant.

Visitation will take place from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the Mass.
