Patricia “Pat” Draeger

Patricia “Pat” Draeger of Grafton passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at the age of 74.

Patricia was born April 20, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late John and Maud (Powers) McPherson.

She graduated from Washington High School in 1968.

On Oct. 5, 1974, she was united in marriage to Michael Draeger in West Allis. They were just shy of their 50th wedding anniversary.

She had a love for all animals, from watching birds to her favorite dogs, Airedale terriers. When she wasn’t tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, you could find her hunting for good deals at flea markets with her daughter Jenny and her daughter-in-law Katie.

Her children and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Pat was a compassionate caregiver to her family, finding joy in nurturing them and providing unwavering support. She made it a point to be a constant presence in her family’s everyday lives, from babysitting her grandchildren to going to every sporting event.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Michael; her children Scott (Katie) Draeger and Jenny Draeger; her grandchildren Nolan and Avery Draeger; her brother-in-law David (Paulette) Draeger; her sister-in-law Linda (Phillip) Benzinger; special family member Meredith Krasnick; and her sister Mary (the late Gerald) Broitzman; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A private family service was held, and Pat was laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Grafton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Ozaukee County.
