Parkinson’s support group founder to participate in walkathon
Barb Skutka, an administrative assistant at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School who contracted Parkinson’s disease several years ago and started an area support group for patients and caregivers, is again participating in Moving Day Milwaukee on Saturday, May 17.
Skutka is a member of the planning committee for the fundraiser that is being organized by the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Skutka’s support group has a team in the event called For Goodness Shake.
The walk is held at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.

Skutka recently held a jeans day in the school district that raised $375 for the Parkinson’s Foundation.
The support group meets the fourth Monday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at First Reformed Church, 237 S. Main St., Cedar Grove.
