Ozaukee High School can’t wait to celebrate homecoming

Ozaukee High School kicked off the homecoming season in Ozaukee County this week with its “A Night in Vegas” celebration. Students who will take center stage at the homecoming dance were (front row from left) master of ceremonies Layla Wisnewski, court members Madison Gleaser, Adalyn Krenek, Reagan Mueller, Carly Siesco, Ayva Johnson and Eva Vanminsel, master of ceremonies Kenedeigh Harness, and court members (back row) Jack Lentz, Aiden Acevedo, Max Klaus, Hugh Steffen, Kyle Liermann and Nick Schubert. Festivities were to have begun in earnest on Wednesday, Sept. 16, with powderpuff football and macho volleyball. The court will be introduced and the king and queen announced after the varsity girls’ volleyball game, which starts at 7 p.m. Thursday. On Friday, students will participate in a pep rally in the afternoon and a student council-sponsored tailgate party for the community, with food and drinks sold by the Ozaukee Warrior Booster Club, will run from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Then it’s time for some football. Random Lake/Ozaukee will take on Manitowoc Lutheran at Random Lake High School at 7 p.m. Friday. The week will culminate in a dance in the Ozaukee High School cafeteria on Saturday. The grand march begins at 7:30 p.m. Photo by Sam Arendt
