Ozaukee High artists earn state recognition

Several art students from Ozaukee High School in Fredonia were qualifiers for this year’s Wisconsin Art Education Association Youth Art Show. Shown holding their works of art are (from left) Molly Kirmse, regional qualifier; Ethan Barnet, regional qualifier; Amanda Dieringer, state qualifier; Paige Pierson, state qualifier; and Maria Nehls, state qualifier; along with art educator Nathan Kilps. Normally, state qualifiers are invited to Madison for the contest, but this year’s show is being presented as an online gallery. Artworks also are on display in the main hallway outside the school’s fine arts center. Photo by Sam Arendt
