A vacant lot in the Village of Fredonia that Ozaukee County foreclosed on for back taxes is back on the market after no bids were received.

The second listing allows county officials to consider offers that come in below the property’s $45,000 appraised value.

The lot at 235 Manor Dr. was posted for auction by the county last month, but no bids came in by the deadline of Wednesday, Oct. 28,  Ozaukee County Treasurer Joshua Morrison said.

Bids in that round had to be at least equal to the appraised value.

Members of the county’s Finance Committee voted the next day to put the property up for a second round of bids, this time agreeing to consider bids that come in lower.

The bid must include a 10% down payment in the form of a cashier’s check, cash or money order.

The deadline for new bids is 4:30 p.m., Nov. 19.

For more information, call the treasurer’s office at 284-8280 or visit www.co.ozaukee.wi.us/144/treasurer.
