Olga Senn

 

Olga A. Senn, 91, of Oshkosh and formerly of Port Washington, died Saturday, May 19.

Mrs. Senn was born in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, on Dec. 29, 1926, to Theodore and Meta Sunderman Ripke. On June 15, 1952, she married Arthur Senn in Ridgeville Corners.  

Mr. Senn, a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod pastor, soon took a calling in Arlington, Texas, where the couple started their life in ministry together. Following Texas, they served congregations in Wauseon, Ohio; Ottawa, Canada, and various congregations in the South Wisconsin District, including Fredonia, Manitowoc, Neshkoro, Princeton, Hancock, Ripon, and Wild Rose.

As the pastor’s wife, Mrs. Senn was involved in many ladies organizations, as well as being a church secretary, organist and provided support for her husband, her family said.

Mrs. Senn is survived by her husband Arthur of Oshkosh; children Katherine (Robert) Stuyck of Rockford, Ill., Ruth (Richard) Pappas of Battle Ground, Wash., Michael “Mick” (Mary) of Fond du Lac, Vivian (Craig) Mittelstaedt of Oshkosh, and Judith (John) Behlke of Oak Creek.  

She is further survived by 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Senn was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Clara Werling, Edwin Ripke, Carl Ripke, Ernst Ripke and Arnold Ripke.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, at St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia. The Rev. Robert Zick will preside.  

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23 at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington, and on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Fredonia.  

Memorials are suggested to Dakota Boys Ranch or The Lutheran Heritage Foundation.
