Norma Holschbach

Norma Holschbach, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away in the morning hours of Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at Belgium Gardens, where she had been a resident.  She was 91 years old.

Norma was born in Fort Atkinson, Iowa, on March 26, 1933, the daughter of Florian and Kathryn (nee Backes) Rothmeyer.

She married the love of her life, Norbert Holschbach, on May 10, 1952. Together they built a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and love.

Norma and Norbert were the owners of Spicer Starter Drive in Milwaukee. The couple worked side by side until 1990, when they sold the company.  After, Norma worked at Holiday Trim in Belgium for 10 years.

She was a dedicated member of Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, where she sang in the choir, and an active participant at the Port Washington Senior Center. She valued her community and thrived on the connections she made.

Norma had a zest for life, whether she was heading out on one of her exciting casino trips, sharing laughs at the bowling alley or tending to her beautiful flower garden. She cherished her friendships and was always there to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.

Those left to cherish Norma’s memory are her husband Norbert and her six children, Constance (Ronald) Michalski, the late Barbara (Ronald) Meyer, Alan Holschbach, Jesse Holschbach, Samuel Holschbach and Robert (Kerrie) Holschbach.

She is further survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her brother Richard (Luella) Rothmeyer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Zweibahmer, Alice Elfner, Mary Hosek, Jerome Rothmeyer, Kenneth Rothmeyer and Dale Rothmeyer.

In accordance with Norma’s wishes, private family services will be held.

She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy.
