Nine years of support

The Cedar Grove Parkinson’s Support Group celebrated its ninth anniversary Monday night at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. About 60 members played a memory game (above), enjoyed root beer floats and fellowship. Former Cedar Grove-Belgium High School administrative assistant Barb Skutka started the group after being diagnosed with the disease in 2017 and realizing the area lacked a support  group. Members used to leave right after meetings but have since become friends and stay around to talk for so long that Skutka said she has to finally usher them out.      Photo by Mitch Maersch
