New home permits up

Town of Belgium Zoning Administrator Charlie Parks provided a summary of permits issued in 2024 this month.

The town issued 28 permits. Thirteen were for accessory structures, six were new residences, four were additions, three were remodeling and alterations, one was for a fence and one was for an agricultural structure.

Six permits for homes is the third most since 2017. Seven were issued in 2019 and 2021. Five were issued in 2022 and 2023. Three were issued in 2020 and two were issued in 2018.
