New headworks facility underway

Crews began excavating land for a new waste water treatment plant headworks facility off of Falls Road on Friday, June 29. The $10 million project is expected to be completed in 2021. The headworks facility separates out large particles before sending liquids for further treatment. The facility will replace a portion of the original plant that was built in the 1970’s.
