Nesta Karen Schoenfeldt

Nesta Karen Schoenfeldt formerly of Wild Rose, Wis., passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the age of 82.  

She was born to Carl and Doris (nee Thoren) Fritz on April 21, 1937.  

She married Richard Schoenfeldt on June 27, 1970.

Nesta was an EMT for Saukville Fire Department for over five years and later for Wild Rose Fire Department. She retired from the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home at King in 1999 as a dedicated CNA.  

Nesta enjoyed playing cribbage, yatzee, sheepshead and bingo. She was a longtime member of the Wild Rose Lions Club and a poll worker as well as past president for the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.  Nesta loved baking and spending time with her family.

Nesta is survived by her children Richard (Judy) Schoenfeldt, Toni (Gary) Fischer, Tami (Glenn) Viesselmann, Karen (Bob Ellisor) Schulz, and Kim (Tod) Becker; grandchildren Jen, Richard “Chip” (Jennifer), Ryan, Brad (Angela King), Jena (Cy), Kate (Marty), Chris Jr. (Karli), TJ and Amanda (Dan Hackbarth); great-grandchild Palmer; siblings Wayne (Fern) Fritz, Bruce (Carolyn) Fritz, Gary (Deb) Fritz and Wyatt (Nancy) Fritz; sister-in-law Judy Fritz; and special friend Barb.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, brother Neil Fritz, daughter Anita Schoenfeldt and son-in-law Chris Schulz.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Parkside Community United Church of Christ, 166 W. Dekora St. Saukville, Wis. 53080, with Pastor Susan Drake presiding.

Nesta will be laid to rest next to her husband Richard at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
