Nancy Rothe

Nancy A. Rothe of Mequon entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. She was 82 years old.

Nancy was born on Oct. 25, 1940, in Green Bay, Wis., to parents Joseph and Ester (nee Tiller) Biersteker. She was one of 15 children.

Nancy graduated from East High School, Class of 1958.

She was united in marriage with James Rothe on May 14, 1960, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Green Bay, Wis. Together they raised four children.

Nancy worked for 17 years at Mequon Care Center as a CNA. She was a dedicated worker providing excellent and compassionate care.

Nancy was an avid reader. She loved true stories, biographies and anything informational.

Nancy enjoyed crafting, sewing and traveling to northern Wisconsin and out West for family trips.

Above all, she cherished her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jim; children Robyn (Jeff) Lallensack, Rick (Melissa) Rothe, Erin Rothe Parbs and Alisa Rothe; grandchildren Sara (Ryan) Harter, Amanda (Dylan) Lund, Jordan Parbs (Dieter Hess), Samuel Herlache (Emily Krebsbach), Evan (Briana) Lallensack and Jacob Herlache (Paige Pelikan); great-grandchildren Milo and Lincoln Harter, Levi Lallensack and Baby (North?).

Nancy is further survived by siblings Patrick Biersteker, Roger Biersteker and Janet Stangel, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings and many other family members.

There will be a celebration of life for Nancy on Dec. 17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Connective, 320 Main Ave., DePere, Wis., 54115.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff and hospice care team at Harbor Campus/Harbor Cove, Port Washington, for the excellent and compassionate care they provided to Nancy over the past many months.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Harbor Campus/Harbor Cove or the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
