Museum of WI Art offers activities
The Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend has a host of events scheduled this week.
On Thursday, Dec. 29, “Drop in Art Making” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. will have participants manipulate foam to make sea life sculptures inspired by exhibiting artist Maureen Fritchen.
From 1 to 2 p.m., meditation in the gallery will be led by Jamie Mullen, a yoga therapist and meditation teacher.
On Friday, Dec. 30, “Drop In Art Making” will have people printing textures using natural materials found in the exhibit “Magic Wilderness: Dreamscapes of the Forest.”
From 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Curator of Public Programs Ally Wilber will lead a guided tour of the exhibit.
On Saturday, Dec. 31, people will make an embellish a soft sculpture inspired by exhibiting artist Cassandra Smith’s hand-painted taxidermy.
From 1 to 2 p.m., “Art+Wellness/Intention Setting” will teach people how to harness their thoughts and set intentions to achieve their goals in 2023. Artist and certified life coach Ian Baker Johnson will lead the session.
Complimentary hot chocolate for members will be offered from Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 28 to 31.
The Museum of Wisconsin Art is at 205 Veterans Ave., West Bend.
