Michael Guy

Michael Guy of Random Lake, formerly of Fredonia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Mike was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 12, 1938, to John and Elsie (nee Holtz) Guy.
Mike grew up in Milwaukee and was a proud graduate of Marquette University High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy.
On July 27, 1963, he married Patricia Roncke at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Milwaukee, and together they raised four daughters, affectionately known as the “Guy Girls.”
A true innovator and entrepreneur, Mike had a diverse and fulfilling career. He taught high school chemistry, managed pharmaceutical manufacturing companies and founded numerous businesses, including Guy Drug and Guy & O’Neill, both in Fredonia. Notably, Mike held several patents, including the original patent for time-release aspirin.
Mike enjoyed world travel, especially to Ireland and Las Vegas. He also loved fishing, singing old wartime songs with his daughters and grandkids and playing the harmonica.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; his four children, Julie Guy, Maureen (Fuzzy) Schommer, Patrice (Joel) Rhode and Kate (Steve) Iggens; and his grandchildren Emma, Simon and Leo Rhode, Matthew and Colleen Suhr and Mick Iggens. He is further survived by his brothers John (Margo) Guy and Patrick (Anne) Guy, other relatives and many, many friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents John and Elsie Guy, his twin brother Joseph Guy and his grandson Mitchell Suhr.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Divine Savior Catholic Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, Belgium. Visitation took place from 3 to 5 p.m., with a Liturgy of the Word Service following at 5 p.m.
Private interment followed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Ozaukee Schools Scholarship Foundation.
