Marvin Arthur Burg Sr.

Marvin Arthur Burg Sr., 89, of Cascade, Wis., passed away peacefully on Dec. 14, 2025.
He was born on May 21, 1936, in Menomonee Falls, Wis., a son of the late Edward and Francis (Berres) Burg.
On Oct. 24, 1963, he married Eileen O’Keefe.
Marvin ran the family farm in Belgium and worked as a welder at Simplicity Manufacturing in Port Washington.
He loved watching wildlife and feeding deer and enjoyed trips to the Hamburger Haus. Marvin was always willing to lend a hand to others and was quite handy with fixing small engines. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was a kind man with quick wit.
Survivors include his four children, Shelly (Jeff) Birenbaum, Eileen Burg, Christine Burg and Marvin Jr. (Erin) Burg; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Donna (Donald “Red”) Schoeder, Francis “Cookie” Gries, Rita Van Treeck and Judy Prom; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward Burg and sister Marie Neu.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth from 3 to 5 p.m., with a memorial Mass to follow at 5 p.m. Father Subi Thomas will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marvin’s name. Marvin had a love for nature and the family will be honoring that love by giving back to nature in a way that would make Marvin proud.
