Mark Hajewski

 

Mark T. Hajewski, 69, of Fredonia, formerly of Milwaukee, died of complications of lymphoma at Lawlis Family Hospice Center in Mequon on Tuesday, April 23.

Mr. Hajewski was born in Milwaukee on March 8, 1950, to Eugene and Eleonore Tumas Hajewski. In 1968, he graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee.  

On Nov. 27, 1976, he married Diane Glaser in Milwaukee.

Mr. Hajewski worked as a carpenter and built homes in Saukville. His family said he enjoyed fishing, golfing, shooting and playing cards — especially sheepshead and cribbage.  

In 1983, the family moved to Fredonia into a house Mr. Hajewski built.

Mr. Hajewski is survived by his wife Diane of Fredonia; daughters Garin (Steve) Krogsund of Wauwatosa and Shana (Eric) Rojahn of Jackson; and grandchildren Kellan and Carson Krogsund, and Stella and Scarlett Rojahn.

He is further survived by brothers Dennis (Kathy Serena) of Wauwatosa and John (Linda Ruhland) of River Falls; and sister-in-law Pam Hajewski of Wauwatosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Stephen.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg.  

Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Memorials to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society in Mr. Hajewski’s name are suggested.
